The Twin Towers were designed to fall inward on themselves.
It's a known fact that the World Trade Center was designed to collapse in on itself. Anyone who designs anything to collide inward on its own infrastructure, clearly wants that infrastructure to... well, collide inward on itself. It's obvious. That was done on purpose.
...Which is a good thing.

Imagine if that silo were a 47-floor, concrete building. That would mean even more chaos.
