Proceeds from Trump's American Freedom Tour go directly to his own pockets. They are also separate from his political rallies, which are free to attend, often in support of specific candidates, and held through his Save America leadership PAC.

Presidents do that. Obama is cashing in seriously, and Biden brought in plenty as VP under Obama with his son’s dealings. Congress folk insider trade with impunity and make millions. This is just how the political class lives.

@joe438 The difference is subterfuge and obfuscation. Trump is under investigation already for funneling automated nonconsensual payments into his personal coffers. This is no different. It's not a big deal if I charge you to watch my TV; it's a problem if I call the charge a medical contribution for my ailing grandmother.
