Rudy Giuliani says NY is the "wild, wild west" after attack.
Rudy Giuliani insisted Monday that New York had turned into the “wild, wild west” after he was accidentally beaten by a worker at a Staten Island ShopRite while fighting for his son.
The 78-year-old former mayor of New York City said he was suffering from “very sore back” and “swelling” after a camera attack at the store on Sunday.
“He hit me to knock me down, and if that doesn’t deserve jail time in New York, we’re in the Wild, Wild, West,” Giuliani said during a virtual news conference.
Giuliani called for his alleged attacker to be prosecuted, saying he could have easily been killed if pushed to the ground.
“It was a very, very difficult shot. He could have easily hit me, knocked me down and killed me,” he said. “He’s lucky he didn’t punch me. Falls are extremely dangerous for an older person.”
