Was the war in Afghanistan lost when it turned into a woke crusade?

How could the war in Afganistan have turned out better for America? The Taliban harbored terrorists who bombed a few of our most iconic buildings by exploiting serious security flaws in our airports. In a world of high technology and globalization, such orgaizations will always exist in the shadows somewhere. Did that justify our attempt to impose "Disney" style values on a backwards country trying to find its identity after centuries of opression?

Is it true that if the Afghan people really wanted to convert to western values, they would have? I suppose we wouldn't have had to fight them for 20 years to "save" them. Thoughts?

What should we do in the future in some similar situation? Thank you.

These days, when someone says "woke" they really just mean "not a Fascist."

@hippyjoe1955 That's fine. People are legally allowed to say what they want, but they have to deal with the social consequences. You're free to speak, but not free from consequences.
Now, if someone was arrested for disagreeing with gay marriage, that would be authoritarian.

So any examples of "the woke" getting someone arrested for speech? Or getting something banned?

@hippyjoe1955 Tamara Lich was arrested because she was blocking the road during a protest and, when given a chance to leave, she refused.
She was released, but then the authorities found out that she was planning on doing it again.

So it's not that she said something edgy and got arrested. She got arrested for obstructing traffic and then planning to do it again.

See, an actual example would be this one really woke guy, his name is Donald Trump, he said it should be illegal to burn an American flag. Can you believe that? This little snowflake wanted people arrested for expressing themselves in a way that harmed no one. What a woke SJW cuck!

@BohemianBoo She did nothing of the sort. She wasn't blocking any road. Do try to keep up. The woke PM saw his authority being challenged and sent in the UN police to put down a peaceful and fully legal protest. The police have been falling all over themselves telling the Parliamentary Committee that the protest was legan and no police force asked for the Emergency Act which is required by law. The only law breakers here are in government up to and including the woke PM.

@hippyjoe1955 Okay, so all the evidence points to her getting arrested because she broke the rules of her bail conditions. Since you've failed to show evidence which contradicts that, I have to assume that's what happened.

So, any real evidence of someone getting arrested because "the woke" didn't like what they said?

@BohemianBoo Tons of it. The minister said under oath that the police and mayor asked for the measures. The police and mayor under oath said that they did not ask for the measures to be taken. Someone is lying. The most obvious answer is it is the minister.
