The school shooting liberals won't talk about.

Brandon Keith Ned was a school shooter that was confronted by an armed teacher. A gunfight broke out. Ned ran, but the kids were already on lockdown. Cops showed up and capped his ass dead. Armed teachers, not gun free zones, are the answer.

A suggestion: put scanners, guards and CCTV cameras.
Anybody walking with any dangerous stuff gets identified.

@Riemann The Uvalde shooter got past locked doors and everything. The armed teacher is the last line of defense when all that other stuff fails.

@IronHamster Scanners and guards check very well. Think of the scanners in airport.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@Riemann Are you saying you are willing to pay five times your taxes or rent for this upgrade? You don't have the benefit of paying customers that need to travel to foot the bill. Besides, my solution is free. Simply move gun free zones to government buildings and protect children.
Riemann · 31-35, M
@IronHamster At this point, I do strongly suggest that. It is not that much costly.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@Riemann Yes. Airport security is expensive. You will have scanners, training, maintenance, replacement. Multiply that out by every school in the area. Then you have time costs. Delays before school. Delays after recess.. .

By the way, CCTV won't stop anything. It just creates snuff films when those other items get defective.
Riemann · 31-35, M
@IronHamster Yes expensive but not too expensive. Just one gate would probably do.
Cctv is just basic everywhere but I still mentioned.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@Riemann One gate per school, so each neighborhood gets a ten million dollar expense, when my solution is free and yours is defective. Some neighborhoods cannot pay for their schools already.

I think what kids learn there is government dependency so expect more welfare. Under my system kids learn personal responsibility. Expect more successful entrepreneurs there.

@IronHamster I just checked to confirm.
One costs less than 10000 usd. It is ok with less than 3 guards.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@Riemann You don't even need to hire guards. Have three armed teachers show up early and pay them overtime.

Metal detectors and scanners are two totally different things. You are looking at $170k for the unit, minimum 10k installation, maintenance, repair....
Riemann · 31-35, M
@IronHamster The ones I mentioned are fine. Installation and repair costs even less.
Just some effort. <3

@Riemann And man them with armed teachers.
UVALDE, Texas (AP) — The confusing and sometimes contradictory information in the week since the deadly shooting continued Tuesday with the revelation that the exterior door used by the gunman was not left propped open by a teacher, as police previously said. They have now determined that the teacher, who has not been identified, propped the door open with a rock, but then removed the rock and closed the door when she realized there was a shooter on campus, Travis Considine, chief communications officer for the Texas Department of Public Safety, said. But, Considine said, the door that was designed to lock when shut did not lock. “We did verify she closed the door. The door did not lock. We know that much and now investigators are looking into why it did not lock,” Considine said. Investigators confirmed the detail through additional video footage reviewed since Friday's news conference when authorities first said the door was left propped open.
@IronHamster
