Forget Term Limits and Retirement Age. Congress Should Add a MINIMUM Age Requirement for the Supreme Court. Say, 65.

A lifetime of decisions and writings should give Senators a pretty good feel on future rulings without the BS excuse of being duped that Sens. Collins and Machin are claiming.

The Constitution sets a minimum age for the House (25), for the Senate (30) and the presidency (35) and left it up to Congress to create rules re: the judiciary.

It's an idea worth considering. And while we're at it, maybe establish firm requirements about when justices should recuse themselves from a case, like when there's a conflict of interest.

Maybe also make them an apolitical appointment. Perhaps a committee of jurists looking for people with experience and balance.

Maybe this will change Manchin’s outlook on things, if he admits to being duped.

Don't hold your breath. He won't support ending the filibuster.

No SCOTUS nominee should EVER have to answer questions asked by ANYONE.
