@LeopoldBloom I live in John Brown Gun Club territory. I have watched them train. They don't scare me. But, during the riots every gun seller had stories of liberals coming in and buying their first gun because they realized the cops WOULD NOT protect them, and they were pissed about how difficult it was to buy a gun because they'd heard about how easy it was.

@Slade No, they're liberals who own guns. It's not a binary choice between anyone owns any gun they want or all guns are outlawed and confiscated. You can have sensible regulation, just like we do for many other things. Even today, it's very hard to get a permit for a full-auto machine gun, and you can forget about a shoulder-mount rocket launcher or a surface-to-air missile. You might think those should be legal, but there's zero movement in Congress, even among Republicans, to loosen restrictions on those.

@LeopoldBloom One of the sensible regulations we need is that Stinger missiles within two miles of an airport must be cased and off. Of course, we also need to clarify that the law does allow civilians to own Stinger and Javelin missiles. I have room for four each on the walls of my gun room.

@IronHamster Why require them to be cased? It's illegal to shoot down airplanes; if someone does that, just arrest them. Why do you hate America?

@IronHamster If we have an inalienable right to bear arms, I don't see why you would require any weapons to be cased. "Bear" means to carry openly.
