Seems like more of a "no true Scotsman" thing by a guy who never was really a Scot, imo.

I'm not a huge fan of Republicans, but there's not really that much that I recall in their history to support Trumpism.

Hell, they didn't even go with Nixon. Trump really is pretty de Novo for the US, imo.
