Why do people hate on so-called 'fake' news stories?

I saw a story about Obama implementing Sharia law when he was in Chicago. I know it must be true because he is a Muslim Kenyan and because this is just like a story I saw on Fox News about Birmingham England.

I heard also Obama say that he isn't a muslim and he grew up with his mother. Not sure about any of these but please research...
