Will the Jan 6 hearings 'blow the roof off the House' or prove to be another dud ?

Depends on how much power the GOP still has, because it’s doubtful they’ll go along with any attempts to punish their own cronies—even the ones who supported that insurrection.

@bijouxbroussard Will whatever is revealed though be enough to put anybody , upto and including Trump , in real legal jeopardy re: an attempted coup ?
@RodionRomanovitch Anyone else. Peter Navarro, one of Trump’s advisers, was just indicted for contempt of Congress. Further up the food chain, it’s less likely.

@bijouxbroussard Navarro and Bannon could both be charged with conspiracy just from what we already know , and from what both men have already admitted. Meadows is another one who probably has the most to fear but whether the DOJ has the cojones to actually charge them remains to be seen. I think the best chance of Trump being held accountable rests with the DA in Georgia.

Well...there are rumors that some of the republicans in the house and senate are regretful they didn't vote to impeach and convict, so maybe they've had with 'the Big lie'. and lying liars that spread them...?

@WalksWith 'some of the republicans in the house and senate are regretful they didn't vote to impeach and convict'

And their regret lasted a couple of weeks at most , before they decided that their immediate political futures were best served by just pretending the whole thing had never happened.

Like I said, it was a rumor. I, too, believe that it was short-lived. TFG, was exactly who the repubs wanted in office to give them the supremes and to weaken our Democracy. TFG, was, after all, their ticket to unyielded power.
