@room101 Our fundamental rights don't require permission from the government to exercise them. The government can't stop the presses, can't prevent our speaking, can't stop our right to protest, can't stop our religious worships. All of which can have deadly consequences.
In case you haven't notices, the people demanding restrictions on our right to own firearms are the same people who consistently try to nip at our other rights.
@room101 Having to show some degree of proof that you are who you profess to be isn't a restriction except for who may not be who they profess to be. I am routinely asked to see some ID when I pay by check, or buy an airline ticket, or just enter a government building, or open a bank account, or get a document notarized. We do not have a right to not substantiate who we are when there is a risk of fraud.
@Heartlander Dude seriously, expand your media and general information diet. For the last two years one red state after another has implemented all sorts of measures which clearly have one purpose and one purpose only. To suppress the ability to vote, specifically of ethnic minority groups.
As to cheating, time and time again it's been irrefutably shown that voter fraud was carried out by Republicans only!
