Do We Really Need a Law Requiring Unattachable Pop Bottle Caps?

Just put the f*cking cap back on the bottle and recycle the whole thing when it's empty.

If you're caught littering either, $1000 fine.

Sounds like someone wants their name on a piece of legislation ?

The European Union, for example, is requiring that caps be attached to some plastic bottles as part of its directive on single-use plastics. Companies have until the end of 2024 to comply.

@Darksideinthenight2 I understand, but I bet the point is to make the entire unit recyclable, to reduce the problem of the plastic caps (which usually aren't recyclable).
In most place plastic caps don’t go in the same recycling place as the bottles.

Inasmuch as you just chuck both out the window what do you care? 😏
