I've been around long enough that I've learned to despise uncritical national pride wherever it rears its ugly head. I'm ashamed to think back to the time when I bought into it myself.

I agree with his general observation about nations but see no basis for asserting that it applies more to Canadians than to others.

I'm aware of that possibility and think of it often, while puzzling over the fact that even if it's an illusion I seem to have no option other than to play along with it.

@Really if you don’t buy into the mass hallucination they will call you crazy . Seen it happen time and time again .
