@Rhode57 this summer the supreme Court is expected to rule that gun rights may not be limited by the states.

@Changeisgonnacome A bit of ambiguity in the 2nd amendment there. It should be interesting.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State ..."
seems to protect the state from infringement by the federal government as well as other states. States aren't subdivisions of the federal government, but entities with their own rights and constitutions. But then the Supreme Court is a federal institution with the authority to dissolve state rights spelled out in the constitution.
Sounds like a constitutional crisis may be brewing :)
