all I know is i'm exhausted with the "Gun debate" in it's current form. it's broken. In america we tend to oversimplify. Americans tend to want to hear there's an easy answer for problems like this. wanting an easy answer is the problem, not the solution. The truth of the matter on the gun debate is simply that we've been circling as far as sorting out what to blame in a very merry go round like debate where one side says it's easy access to guns another says violent video games (those people are wrong) another says its the appalling state of access to mental health services in this country and many of these arguments only exist to evade the heat you take blaming guns. But I'm tired of it. I'm tired of everything. Sick. of it all. Because to me it's a logical fallacy and runs against common sense to say this tragedy can be blamed on ONE Thing going wrong. many things went wrong here. America has a broken gun culture that doesn't hold a candle to the flame of Denmark's, Guns are too easy to access, the mental health system and access to it is appalling, and this tragedy can be blamed on multiple contributing factors.
We need to stop oversimplifying tragedy, it's unhelpful, unproductive and only muddies the waters of the debate.
