I read it and the big take aways I got out of it is that the fundamentalists studied were statistically less intelligent. The P score was like .003 so only 0.3% chance that they were the same! Then the big one was in terms on inflexibility and openness to new ideas. Fundamentalists were very much less flexible in their thinking wrt religion, politics, and a host of other things. Apparently it's a skill that has to be suspended in order to hang onto fundamentalism. If you've listened to any of the speeches of Alan Watts; a former episcopal minister, it was his view (as I understand it) that clinging to God as in the song Rock of Ages is really showing a lack of faith. What these lesions seem to do is create deep fear that needs a cure so they self medicate with fundamentalism.

@Tastyfrzz I cant argue your view isnt accurate for some.. Statistically. But like everything else, there is a specturm. There are intelligent rational Believers out there who are sure there is a creator. And maybe there are right. My real sticking point is whether he/she grants afterlives. I dont see it.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I have no idea what happens but I don't think one needs to be a Fundy to live.

@Tastyfrzz We are all different. (Thank goodness) I only draw my line when someone else insists theirs in the one right way and I need to conform. 😷
