How Stupid Do You Have To Be?

That is, to claim that gas prices are high by design, perpetrated upon an unsuspecting world, by the Biden administration.

When the president talks about weaning the world off fossil fuel, he's talking about the shithole the planet is in right now, thanks to our reliance on fossil fuel and the unwillingness of the GOP to stop their oil companies welfare program.

Putin miscalculated, but part of his miscalculation, is that the Western world will back off, because they rely on his oil.

Hey dummies, if we never get started, we will never get there.

I remember back when Bush was in office, the Saudi's put the pinch on supply and prices started rising, GW had a press conference and mentioned ANWR and made the comment, "drill, drill, drill", the OPEC countries started producing more oil and prices fell. Obama said at one interview that he would like to see gas prices here in the US equal to those of Europe at $6-$7 a gallon at the time to push green energy, then talking about shutting down coal and oil, natural gas. Prices went up, Trump talking about drilling and investment in green energy, prices go down. Now, with Biden, revoking permits for the XL pipeline, the idiots on the left that say "If you can't afford gasoline, buy an electric car." like it was just that simple, take your pocket change and go buy a Tesla. I believe Biden's actions have caused inflation of gas prices and everything else. Regardless of this, it IS his problem because he is the guy running the show. "The buck stops here, happening under his watch', etc.

@LvChris Biden blames the Afghan withdrawal on Trump, gas prices on Putin, inflation, the border crisis on republican senators and congressmen. He places the responsibility of everything on someone else. Trump didn't start the CDC, he didn't establish testing protocol for the CDC and I agree he shouldn't have said it wasn't his responsibility, what he should have said is that it is my responsibility to fix. Biden seems to be making it a habit, anything that doesn't poll well is somebody else's problem.

@LvChris That's okay, everyone screws up occasionally, it is only a bad thing when you screw up over and over. Have a good night.

From the health line website, they recommend the following memory boosters:

Eat less added sugar. ...
Try a fish oil supplement. ...
Make time for meditation. ...
Maintain a moderate weight. ...
Get enough sleep. ...
Practice mindfulness. ...
Drink alcohol in moderation. ...
Train your brain.

Because you memory is failing badly. The fact is that oil was over $100 per barrel, on the eve of the greatest financial crisis since the great depression, in 2008. Bush went on a tour of the Middle East, that included Saudi Arabia.

Oil prices did not start dropping because Bush said "drill, drill, drill". The dimwit from Alaska said that, later.

Saudi was trying to pressure the US into selling it advanced weapons to counter Iran, and we were bulking. By the end of the Bush visit, the US had agreed to start negotiating the deal, and Saudi upped production. The Saudis would have done it anyway, because a high oil price, meant that Iran would get more revenue, and Saudi has more reserves.

It's basic system dynamics, and the fact is that we have been producing more than what we need, for years, going back to the Obama years. But back to my point about global market dynamics. Sorry, but you failed the test.

@Northwest I get the world dynamics of an issue, but after Bush started talking about drilling in the US, gas prices fell. I drive extensively for work, sometimes gassing up 5 or 6 times a week and documenting expenses. I don't need to pass a test regarding my own experience.

What you described did not happen. I stated what actually happened.

I suggested a few techniques to improve your memory. Please try some of them. Drill baby drill, is the battle cry of Sarah Palin, which was about the same time.
I don't need to pass a test regarding my own experience.
I'm sure you don't, but you could probably try googling what Bush did in 2008, during his visit to Saudi Arabia, to discuss above $100 per barrel oil. And you're missing that whole causality thing.

@Northwest Is CNBC a good source for news?

"Bush Says Drill, Drill, Drill — And Oil Drops $9!
PUBLISHED TUE, JUL 15 20081:45 PM EDTUPDATED FRI, SEP 13 20134:33 PM EDT

In a dramatic move yesterday President Bush removed the executive-branch moratorium on offshore drilling. Today, at a news conference, Bush repeated his new position, and slammed the Democratic Congress for not removing the congressional moratorium on the Outer Continental Shelf and elsewhere. Crude-oil futures for August delivery plunged $9.26, or 6.3 percent, almost immediately as Bush was speaking, bringing the barrel price down to $136."

In 2008 Bush visited the middle east talking about peace in the region. What does that have to do with oil prices.

You may have stated what you perceive as having happened, just as I have said what I perceived had happened.

@Roadsterrider you're talking waaaay over libs' heads... don't you know that a dimocrat president is never EVER responsible for the economy (unless it happens to be doing very well), but a republican president is ALWAYS responsible when it's doing poorly? case in point... dims repeatedly claimed obama was responsible for the economy that trump presided over.

🤣😂 I was wondering if you were going to prove how you missed reading comprehension 101, and bring this article up.

Re-read dude. That's the AUTHOR saying that, not Bush.

Hoe pathetic. 🤣😂
