When the president talks about weaning the world off fossil fuel, he's talking about the shithole the planet is in right now, thanks to our reliance on fossil fuel and the unwillingness of the GOP to stop their oil companies welfare program.

Putin miscalculated, but part of his miscalculation, is that the Western world will back off, because they rely on his oil.

Nothing that is happening economically right now is any specific persons fault. Where fault lays is with those that point fingers or blame others yet have no plan or suggestion on how to fix things. And when one party is only voting no all the time then they are definitely part of the problem.
