Everyone who's in favor of abortions has already been born

Strange how that works.

How do you know everyone born, wanted to be born? I am sure there are already no shortage of children born into horrific situations. Foster care, adoptions, and ill equipped parents are hardly fair to an innocent child.

Most people that uphold that decision on whether to carry a pregnancy to term or not are actually very cognizant of the sanctity of life.

Somehow it still baffles me that the same people that want babies born no matter what are the same people that do not want things like decent healthcare, childcare, and education made available to all, regardless of income.

@Peapod It's a mistake to talk nicely to such hypocrites. There are volumes of historical records that prove that they are full of _____ and conversations with them need to focus on those points.

@Diotrephes I think we all can be hypocrites at times, even with best intentions. But I do agree that what is going on is beyond hypocritical.

I know I also now live in a country where even a majority of people's voices are not going to matter and they are issues that are life altering.

Even if I am long past the age of being able to conceive, my heart breaks for the society that is going to weep the consequence of Roe v Wade being overturned.

@Peapod To be fair and objective about the issue, it is very complex with countless layers. Therefore, every opinion is valid because they all have elements of truth behind them.

People like Margaret Sanger and the eugenics crowd wanted to eliminate the "undesirables" and they used forced sterilization to do it, as well as abortion and "planned parenthood."

The reality is that about 63,000,000 abortions have happened since Roe v. Wade. About 16 million of them were Blacks. So, if you calculate the children that those early aborted children might have had by now maybe the figure of people who would have existed might be 90,000,000 - 100,000,000? What effect would that have had?

Today it seems that the liberals are the ones who are in favor of limiting the population. That results in a heavy influx of foreigners. Are they changing the dynamics of the country?

The right-wingers, who have generally been associated with racism and hatred of minorities, are leading the fight to protect their unborn, which will increase the number of people that they "hate." Is that logical?

The reality is that the number of abortions in America since Roe v. Wade is one of the largest genocides in the history of humanity. That is a fact.

We can spin this issue anyway we want to and it will sound reasonable and like it is the right thing to do. The fact is that children represent a very expensive item that requires all kinds of support. Some people are simply incapable of giving them the necessary support. Once in a while such parents will kill their kids when they get older. Happens every day.

Personally, I favor the abortion solution if it is evident that the child will be defective. I don't think it is fair to bring a known defective child into the world because the child will always be at a disadvantage and will never enjoy a good normal life. But from a broad society pov, abortion is genocide, plain and simple. I don't have any natural children of my own. I have an adopted daughter who has two gorgeous daughters and a wonderful husband. I worship the ground they walk on.
