What next for Ukraine?

Here's my fear for both Ukraine and us in the West. This Sunday on the tv the Ukrainian ambassador to the US viewed the opinion that the war will last till the last Russian soldier has gone not only from the newly gained territory but also the whole of Donbas and Crimea. That means that they're now not only going to fight a war that started way back in 2014 but also that they'll keep the West under a blanket of constant moral chantage. They are the democracy that needs to be saved, as the grand damsel in a fairytale. However, lets not go into that rabbit hole. Realpolitik has been in existence since Cardinal Richelieu supported the protestant side in the Thirty Years War in order to weaken the Habsburg monarchs. Whatever the detail of the Israeli policy towards Ukraine is today, it will for sure be in the interest of the country first. Does one actually need to get the Russian Army reduced to almost nothing in the long run, but rather have the conflict settled with the less death possible and as soon as possible? Remember, the summer months of July and August will favour the Russian armoured columns the most, and furthermore, they consider the battlefield tactical nuclear strike as mere the another artillery option. Obviously Ukraine won't defeat Russia on their own. Will their next step not be trying to directly involve the West in the war? That will mean that the war will only end by either regime change in Moskow, or by the West really taking the crazed bet that the Russians won't use the nuclear option whilst they bomb their army out of Ukraine.

Depending n your world view. If you still believe that the major powers are not working in concert with one another to consolidate their people's faith in their various power structures.

If no, the old paradigm. Years ago it was Russia's Afgansitan and later Syria. America's Iran was preceded with Egypt,

It's just another monkey in the middle game in my view. Like a hundred some years ago. The US fighting Spain through proxy Mexico. Better still, the US using Germany to fight Russia and Russia going after England by way of Germany back in 1941.

They're all lions leading sheep into battle. And they won't stop until a lion leads lions into a final battle.

Will that happen in Ukraine? Better hope not. It would lead to real armageddon because sure as sh1t I would black out the sun with ICBMS.

Don't fk with a lion that's willing t lead.

@SteelHands There are no shades of grey here.

The murderous liar putin sent his army to invade the sovereign democracy of Ukraine... to kill Ukraine’s men, women, children, and babies... to execute peaceful citizens after bombing their hospitals, schools, apartment buildings, and urban areas... to plunder, steal, loot, and rape like the barbarians they truly are

At this point, 26,000 barbarians are dead, russian forces have been revealed as paper tigers, russia is globally despised, and for that gangster state the nightmare is just beginning

@newjaninev2 Save it. Peace or the end. Your choice.

@newjaninev2 Low birthrate, high rate of TB and AIDS, poor education, poor health care, A thousand major corporations gone, loosing 40% of their oil revenue. Sanctions, brain drain...cancer. It's not looking good for Vlad or Russia. History will not be kind.
China will be knocking on the eastern border soon. His best option is to sell off everything east of the Ob river or the Ural mountains.

@Tastyfrzz yes indeed. China (suddenly silent and non-committal) is eyeing up the vast resources of Siberia... and waiting

@newjaninev2 He needs cash. He doesn't have a lot of options. He probably can't even keep the roads open.

@Tastyfrzz I’m very pleased to see the plan to dispose of the frozen assets of the russian gangster élite and oligarchs and to apply the money towards rebuilding Ukraine once the barbarians have been driven out

@Tastyfrzz Apparently you didn't notice that last time when the US threatened to block Russia from swift they set up an alternate. And yanked every asset they could out of reach of the west.

The buff isn't working on anyone but the ignorant in the west. Europe gets 60% of it's natural gas through Russia. And thanks to Joey, they have no competition.

All this small talk makes me hungry. Maybe I should have taken over a small african country before bedtime last night.

Hahahahahahaaaaaa!

Pfft.

@newjaninev2 who's buying that cr**!

@SteelHands The gangster state’s foreign financial assets are already frozen, its income is diminishing (and will become steadily smaller), and the oligarchs will possibly be a little upset when their super yachts, luxury properties, and financial holding (all currently seized) are put up for sale. Even putin’s own super yacht is now safely in the West’s hands 😂

Actually, it was both fascinating and hilarious to watch the rats run for cover when they finally realised they were about to lose it all. The best way to destroy criminal gangs is to take away their money.
