It wasn't backed by the government from either side. It was carried out by mobs who had become an unwilling pawn into the hands of the Brits. You guys were also colonized you should know 🙂

In other words, even the future Indian and Pakistan leader couldn't even keep their own people from murdering their neighbors and co-workers - simply because of their religious differences.

Care to tell us how many died? How many were displaced?

Journalists talk about the risk of nuclear war between the United States and Russia or China.

But if a nuclear war ever breaks out on this planet, it will probably be on the sub-continent between India and Pakistan.

(And, yes, we did horrible things to Native American tribes in the 19th century. But we've also made some, but slow progress, to account for what we did.)

USA did horrible things in so many countries and communities. Not just on native Americans but also in other communities which are held captive in the federation of US today 🙂

Weird feeling but i agree with you walabby.. Too often people try to excuse the atrcoties of other nations by bringing up past attrocities by other nations.. They are so focused on hating their own people that they go out of their way to try and shut down legitimate oppositon to another peoples crimes,,
