Was prophet Mohammed told by God to be just towards non Muslims ?🤔

Yes! We see that evidently in the Quran.

in the town of Medina the non Muslims especially some Jews (there were many Jews in Medina )
Would hurt the prophet , distort the scripture , lie about their belief in Islam for some gain etc..
And even then
Prophet Mohammed was told to judge between them justly if they come to him to resolve their disputes !

Well, really only he knows, I'm guessing.
@Graylight I am sorry, I don’t get your comment can you elaborate?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Islamreligion Not meaning any disrespect, I was being a bit flip. When you get right down to it, the only ones who know the truth about what God/Allah said to whom is really a question that can only be answered by the two parties present. Everything else is hearsay.
@Graylight No not at all you are very respectful!
I appreciate those who state their opinions in a civilized manner.

I am assuming you mean is the Quran that we have today is what was Mohammed preaching 1400 years ago ?

The Quran is proven to have been memorized word by word since the time of prophet Mohammed
Even today we have millions of Muslims of all ages and races who have memorized it letter by letter by heart.
If you look this up on google ,
You will find out that the Quran is the most religious and secular book which is memorized By millions across the world and it’s proven historically that that has always been the case.

That is why although there are different sects in Islam
All the sects have the same Quran
Same chapters and words.
We have different translations due to choice of word but the Arabic original version is only one.
The sects only differ slightly on how they interpret it.
Unlike other religions for instance,
Let us consider the bible (with no disrespect )
It does not only have “translations “
But “versions “ too
The Roman Catholic Bible is different than Protestant Bible etc..
which one is the actual word of God? No one knows.
The “original “ Bible itself is not in the actual language Jesus speak daily to his disciples (Aramaic ) , but in koine Greek.

We also have carbon dated Quran going back to the time of prophet Mohammed and shortly after and theyr identical to the ones today.

This is the Quran all Muslims believe in
And if we are talking about the Islamic perspective
Then yes God did command Mohammed to be just even to non Muslims

However , As if this is the true word of God and if Mohammed is a true prophet or not
That is another topic and I do not intend to enforce that belief on you

But you are more than welcome to ask anything

@Islamreligion I won't critique a text I haven't yet read, but I could say all the same things regarding the way Christians look at the Bible (though you are correct in our taste for several versions and translations; I mean, the very last line of the Bible admonishes against any changes). But know the Quran isn't scientifically accurate, right, just like the Bible; it claims the earth was created in six days, which is not scientifically accurate. If I'm correct, some people say that a day for Allah and his angels is 50,000 years, but the math doesn't add up to the billions of years science indicates. Additionally, Quran includes legendary narratives about Dhu al-Qarnayn, apocryphal gospels, and Jewish legends, all the forms of things that can't be verified accurately.

I don't doubt the Quran's taught, passed down and learned in accordance with strict traditions, but devotion isn't proof. And please don't think I hold the Bible as immutable and incorruptible; I don't. I was raised a strict Irish Roman Catholic and loved the faith until I outgrew it in favor of a more inclusive path. But as such, I also hold no earthly text written by men - even prophets - to be the direct and accurate word of any higher power. I find the Bible and the tiny bit of the Quran I've read to be astonishing history texts, insights into mankind's condition and progress, the embodiment of human hope for something greater than ourselves and are good examples of the ethics and traditions important to a culture. But I believe what we have available to us is an interpretation of the Universe, and that should be left to each man or woman.

I don't dare ask you about your faith - I wouldn't know where to start, but I'll offer a question: What one thing above all others would you like the world to know about your faith, or what element of your faith do you think is most misunderstood by non-Muslims?
@Graylight
Respectfully , you cannot say the same about the two .
And this is coming from a woman who grew up learning about both.
Regardless of what religion
is right ,

The Christians have different versions of the Bible they aren’t sure which one is the original word of God.
That is incomparable to the Quran which has only one version and has never been changed.
If it was changed even slightly at some point in history like the Bible we would have many versions today.
the Bible has been changed by kings bishops priests etc throughout history , it’s proven.

Moreover , the earliest Bible
Was a fragment as small as a credit card
Almost 30 years after the death of Jesus ascribed to disciples who didn’t write it.
The full one maybe 300 years after his death!
And not in his original language (Aramaic)
Imagine you do not have Gods words in the original language it was revealed.
But koine Greek.

If I say a quote in German
It’s hard to translate it to english
In its full meaning
The meaning might even change.

“ But know the Quran isn't scientifically accurate”
Absolutely not
Such claims have been debunked
Even at prestigious places like Harvard
And debates
Like
“The Bible and the Quran in the light of science.” On YouTube

The Christian scholar couldn’t clarify none of the science errors while the Muslim debunked all claims.

As for the earth been created in 6 days

The word ayam (plural of days ) and “yowm “ (singular )
in Arabic

Especially in classical Arabic, it usually means “day “ but can also mean arbitrary period of time — it can mean “moment” or “period.”

For example, in the Quran chapter Rahmaan verse 29 it says: every yawm he is taking care of a matter.

^ Many scholars have said it does not mean every day he takes care of a matter, but rather every moment. (Here it means moment )

Another example is chapter Maarij verse 4: The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a yawm the extent of which is fifty thousand years.
^ so this day here clearly means a period of time.

So six days in that verse mean stages and periods of time not the 24 hour day we know.

This is supported by both Lane’s Lexicon and the Hans Wehr dictionaries (both highly respected sources).
And all of Classical Arabic dictionaries

See how important to have Gods words in the original language it was revealed ?

And there is no mention in the Quran of when the earth was created
Unlike the Bible , and archeologist /geologists already proved it wrong.

——
“about Dhu al-Qarnayn, apocryphal gospels, and Jewish legends, all the forms of things that can't be verified accurately.“

How do you use the Bible
As a criteria to judge the Quran?
To use a book which I consider to be wrong and corrupt and you yourself even said that?

You said you don’t rely on text etc
Then who do you consider to be God?

Because the Bible which you said is inaccurate You retrieved the idea of who God is from
Which you also admitted to be faulted.

@Islamreligion I'll do that. Thanks for the lead. The more we learn about one another rather than shouting over one another, the more beautiful we all become.
