I Don't Often Compliment Ike, But to His Credit, After Visiting a Concentration Camp in Germany, He Ordered the Local Townspeople Be Made to Visit It.
He had the U.S. Army round them all up and had them marched into the camp. He wanted them all to see the attrocities that had been done in their name. The rotted bodies stacked like core wood. The gas chambers. So they couldn't deny it for as long as they all lived.
Makes me wonder how the Russian people will deal with the shame of what their nation did to Ukraine when the news of it all finally gets through.
