@Carissimi No we were not energy independent. Biden is pushing for energy independence with solar and renewable energy sources.
The inflation is due to the supply line issues resulting from the GLOBAL pandemic and the crisis in Europe.Biden is trying to do what the U.S. can to reduce inflation. The same would be happening if Trump was in office but he would be clueless on how to remedy the situation.

@Carissimi I had more money under Trump too. We are both in the same boat. The global economy has changed significantly.

That’s only half true. We were energy independent under Trump. We had our own gas and oil production, until Biden closed it all down. The pandemic only caused a small disruption of the supply chain. The Democrat governments were the ones shutting businesses down, and ordering mandatory lockdowns etc. That caused more problems for our economy, then Biden had us on Russian oil, until the war broke out, now he’s dependent on other countries. Green energy has its place, but its no substitute for oil and gas. Look what happened to Texas during the big freeze, when wind turbines froze and there was no sun for solar energy. Green energy is a supplement not a practical replacement for fossil fuels. @melbeacher
