It's going so badly for them that I keep downgrading predictions.
They are now concentrating on Kyiv, having belatedly realised that they can't take the whole country.
They might not be even to take that, given the problems so far and the army moral.
The Russian economy is doing badly but not collapsing so (in theory), they can keep fighting.
So the economic problems have been exaggerated but the military problems underestimated. Either way,they are in a bad position.

@Burnley123 At the outset I thought it was a foregone conclusion , but now all bets are off. As long as the supply lines remain open and they keep getting the Javelins and MANPADS then they will keep the Russians at bay. And the longer that happens then Russian casualties will continue to mount. At some point that becomes unsustainable , both militarily and politically.

The Russians might use a tactical nuke.
Also, they've begun striking airports and military airfriends close to the Polish border. All it takes is a miscalculation and they hit a Polish airfield by mistake and NATO responds.

@beckyromero They won't use a nuke .... unless they have gone completely crazy.
But they might 'accidentally' hit a Polish (or other) airfield by way of sending a message.

@beckyromero once NATO cuts off the supply lines I can't see the Russian invaders being willing to fight to the last man. More likely they will take off their uniforms and melt into the countryside.

@Tastyfrzz The Ukrainians would not welcome them so that won't happen. The Ruasian troop moral is low though and that is a problem.

@Burnley123 they probably could blend in as refugees. What options do they have if they don't want to fight? Sounds like their gear is falling apart. Cheap Chinese knockoff tires were one thing mentioned.
