I don’t understand. It’s not like Russia isn’t wanted. It just needs to stop murdering people and Bullying other countries. Russia can’t expect the world to just put up with its bs anymore. Like it or not Russia has lost a whole lot of respect and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.
Not that I believe this guy even means what he says. Of course there are only certain lines you can take on Russian tv.

Why do we need a world with Russia in it?

Слава Україні! 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦

@newjaninev2 What a beautiful world that would be. ❤
There are plenty of idiotic TV personalities in the world.

Russia putting it's strategic forces on alert would happen during a conflict anyway. This was a pretty common occurrence during the Cold War. Generally speaking the times we came closest to "end of the world as we know it" the general public didn't find out about it till decades later.

This is posturing.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The Russian TV presenter is not idiotic. He is doing only what he is told, sticking to scripts he is given.

He might see through the Kremlin lies and "spin" but is too intelligent to show that!

Don't shoot the messenger - though the Kremlin might if he failed to deliver the message as it has approved.
@ArishMell Please. That literally does not happen anywhere even in absolute monarchies. lol

Put down the bad movie script already.

@RodionRomanovitch Dmitry Konstantinovich Kiselyov is Russia's Kellyanne Conway, in more ways than one, with the added bonus of having a stage all to himself. No one else is allowed to express opinions.

One thing he forgot to mention, and must be on ever Russian's mind: even if he gets the drop on the West, the US, France and the UK, have beyond the grave world destruction capability. Not to mention, that a few days after he obliterates the West, maybe even a day, Russians will be drinking radioactive vodka, and will all be dead within months.

Kiselyov's daughter came out against the war, and was participating in protests, but her social media posts were deleted.

They all know this is not a war anyone can one. Everyone one dies, and the only option is not to play.

The Soviet Union reserved the use of nukes, only in the case that the Soviet Union was going to go away. It did, but voluntarily.

This remains the directive for Russia, but no one knows how far Putin takes the concept of "l'état, c'est moi". Hopefully all the people around him are more level headed. It is, however, clear why he and Trump got along so well.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
He has such a low regard for his country.

I'd suggest he put a gun to his head and pull the trigger under the premise of, "Why do we need a world with Dmitry Kiselyov in it?"
SummerDream · 31-35, F
its not outrageous he does that... it happens every couple years that russia throws this kind of threat.
nuclear threats are that kind of threat you can only counter threat and otherwise ignore... as soon as you let those threat affect anything. its like blackmail.. once you start to pay you always pay.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Graylight The OP is referring to one of Putin’s poodle (Dmitry Kiselyov) asking about Russia.
The response is pretty clear... who needs a gangster state run by a murderous, neurotic, autocrat?

Look at how the mentally unstable Putin is having a nuclear tantrum because his plans for Ukraine aren’t working.
At least we will have cured Covid.
ButterRobot · 51-55, M
He should have said "why do we need a world if Putin is not in it". That seems to be the underlying driver.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@ButterRobot It would have been more than his livelihood and probably even life is worth.
ButterRobot · 51-55, M
@ArishMell indeed
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
It’s a very intelligent statement towards the annexing Russia discourse going on with sanctions etc..

It’s literally novel worthy.
malizz · 70-79, M
Serious concern about Putin's mental state. Potentially a suicide note to bring the world down with him.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
With that logic, their demise is assured.
@MarkPaul 🤦‍♂️

I ask you the very same question of the US and its citizens.
