With the situation going on in Europe, could there be a reformation of the Soviet Union?

I'm old enough to remember its final years.

I've seen the EU getting compacted to vote unanimously for something in literally days, not even the f*cking pandemic of the century had managed to bring us there (above all that fast, the NGEU deals took ages, we weren't even sure they would've eventually passed)

TL;DR we collectively hate Putin more than we collectively hate a f*cking (highly, at the time) deadly virus
@Elessar Gotta admit that the EU certainly moved remarkably fast for that one!!!

@HootyTheNightOwl And even Switzerland took a side, it's unprecedented I guess

If the invasion falters Russia will be exposed as a paper tiger. So far it has shown that it doesn't know how to wage a land war. Its army lacks logistics.

Putin wouldn't allow that. Against his self-interest. Nor would the oligarchs. They are quite happy being what they are.

No

Putin is against that economic model and has zero chance of rebuilding the imperial model.

So no. Lolz.
ninjavu · 51-55, M
That certainly what putin, with his rewriting of his rewriting of history, seems to want.
justanothername · 51-55, M
I think that is what Putin wants but hopefully he won’t get there.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Nah that happened for very very very different reasons.
No. Russia has lost this war. Even with nukes it losses.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Only if EU and NATO betrays Baltic countries. It mustn't happen.
No, not a chance of it happening
Steve42 · 56-60, M
No everyone already joined NATO.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M

vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
