Trump Owes It All to McConnell’s ‘Disgraceful Dereliction of Duty’

http://news.yahoo.com/trump-owes-mcconnell-disgraceful-dereliction-012851911.html

One year ago, the U.S. Senate voted to acquit Donald Trump, who just a couple of weeks earlier had been the President of the United States. Three years from now, he could be that again, thanks to the Republicans who knew better but nonetheless let him off the hook.

The vote was 57-43 in favor of convicting Trump for inciting the Capitol riot. This was the citizen militia portion of Trump’s months-long attempted coup, which had begun in earnest when he convinced tens of millions of Americans of the bald-faced lie that a massive, multi-state conspiracy of voter fraud had denied him re-election.

McConnell is only interested in what benefits Mitch McConnell. He supported Trump when that was best for maintaining his own power. Now that he sees the direction things are going, he's taking a stand against the orange shitgibbon. I'm not saying Mitch has inside knowledge of DOJ investigations or what the Jan. 6 committee's report will be, but it's fairly obvious what's going to happen to Trump and his inner circle before the end of this year and he's preparing to take advantage of that.

@LeopoldBloom what’s sad,
To be the oldest most powerful person in the world. He got all money he could ever want or have between he and his wife.
This shouldn’t be afraid of anything anyone. Has never been able to the right thing for any reason.
I’ve often wondered who or what has control over him. He’s man with the key to the ignition. The man has failed so many people so many times.
@Briggett No one controls him. He loves power for its own sake.
