Based upon the definition, kind of looks that way. Perfect term for it, too.

I don't think it's that bad. But 'firewall,' below, brings up excellent points about corp. subsidies and lobbyists' money to public servants.
So maybe I ought to say, I don't want to think the U.S. is full-on kleptocracy.
@Sacron22: I'm looking at the fact that the president-elect seems to be bringing his business into the White House by bringing his children in to manage it with all the connections he will have as president. They won't have to have any special titles or security clearance to still have access. It will be an advantage no one else doing business will have, and I just don't trust that his Cabinet (based upon the folks he's choosing) will say much about the glaring conflict of interest.

@bijouxbroussard: You're right. I didn't think it through. This has become disgusting, rather tan depressing. Is that the 'stages of grief'?

@bijouxbroussard: I believe that he plans on governing with the same disrespect for the truth and the law that he has had all his life. Hopefully he's in for a very rude awakening. His first lie will come at his inauguration when he swears to uphold the constitution ..... yeah , sure you do Donald.
