There are many people within the system and outside the system who are working for its change. The change won't be as dramatic as we all would like, but it is there.
It is easy for the conspiracy theorists to convince us that we are victims of some undefeatable force, that there are secret societies working against all of us.
Then those same people create secret societies to work against their enemy secret societies. And the secret societies of the conspiracy theorists, retain exclusive membership for their benefit, exactly the same as they accuse their enemies of doing.
As John Stuart Mill stated "Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing."*
Be a part of the good common people and be humble but persistent in your effect.

@Hassan Vaccines make an enormous difference when it comes to hospitalization and death, I’m pretty happy with that. In your brave hippie future, people would still need to be vaccinated.

@Hassan Yes, everyone has a choice in these things. I choose to be lead by facts rather than Slimy Exploitative Millionaires who argue against vaccines, masks and mandates and then require their guests to be vaccinated.
