It is on many lists. Several reliable sources compose a list the happiest nations in the world, ranked only by asking citizens questions along their daily range of satisfaction. Some of the poorest nations on the planet rate highest on this list. It's our country's fatal fascination with bigger, better, stronger, faster and our tendency to equate happiness with wealth, power and status that keeps us so unhappy.
