one bourbon one scotch one beer

now every new car after 2026 must have alcohol detectors to test you or you are stuck where you are at. I think that's way to far and stupid. what if you live in a remote area and have a beer but someone suddenly needs go to the hospital or you are attacked. guess whose idea this was jackass joe biden. your thoughts please

So driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs for a good reason is okay? Does need somehow affect physical skills?

I'm sorry if you live in the woods and your grandmother gets sick and you've been drinking moonshine all day. In no way should I sacrifice my safety, my life or the safety and lives of others to indulge your need. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine and it's the reason we have 911.

[@627992,Graylight] I think they should also have one that detects if you are on your period or cant have one anymore and then the car wont start

[@1237702,babieseatcrap] Okay, and that's relevant to the conversation how?

I'm all for it. If that had been a thing in the sixties, my father would not have been killed by a very drunk driver.
If drivers would police themselves, this wouldnt be a thing.

The detection systems are designed to determine whether you have a blood alcohol content above the legal limit, not whether you have had one beer.

I'm not really convinced by your edge cases, but that's just one more gizmo to break and it's inconvenient as hell.

What if "the friend who doesn't drink" blows on everyone's car?

(That's what she said, I know)

[@44863,Elessar] I thought I could get a dog to breath in a balloon for me
In that case, I'd say one or 2 people will die every few years vs the thousands that die every year from impaired drivers. If they could detect stoned drivers, that'd be even better

First of all I do not suggest anyone drive drunk, drink responsibly, however it reminds me of the saying the path to hell is paved with good intentions.

Btw, be you ever done one bourbon, one Scotch and one beer? Recommended if you've never thought beer can end up tasting like lemonade. 😃

Yep - part of Bidens infrastructure bill.

Used car market will soar again!

There will be lots of rich mechanics who are able to dismantle it 🤣
