Anyone taking bets on how long before a crime with the defense "just like Rittenhouse" takes place?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Graylight Probably not long. People are angry, and open carry states are common. You will likely see more of these sorts of situations, from all sides.

@QuixoticSoul That is my overall point. With situation like this without drastic change we know where this shit leads. Open sectarian violence.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Then laws have to change - but this case is being tried with the laws as they are.

@QuixoticSoul My concern is the legal system doesn't seem to be equipped to change enough in time before people start using each other as target practice.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow There are plenty of ways to put a brake on things if they get out of control. And ultimately, the wider picture should not play a role in any single criminal case.

@QuixoticSoul I would argue if things get out of control it is already too late at that point.
