Can I say one of my favorite things about Florida, okay after weather, beach, is that Republicans and Democrats coexist peacefully. Never had a Democrat friend that was hateful to my Republican majority views. Other than Las Vegas, one of the few places I go in the country that is not horribly divided. @Carla

Okay I didn't ask that? I am not necessarily a Trump supporter either. I left both of the past 2 presidential ballots blank. Though I think Trump had many great policies, I also think he had plenty of bad policies. I thinkhim and Biden both get D-s on covid. I give the rest of the federal government D-s on Covid 19 as well.@Carla

I live in a predominantly Republican area of my state. But there are pockets of very liberal people. Most people seem to tolerate one another.
It's the extremes that are the fewest, yet make the most noise. And even fewer make their noise outside of safe places.

Because I know some folks who live in Florida who are literally afraid to talk about anything remotely political in public.

A relative of mine who lives in Florida ostracized her son because he got vaccinated.

It’s wonderful that you live in some oasis though. Good for you.
