Do most Republicans ONLY want Trump back, and no one else?

Sure seems that way. I am not a Republican, but surely they can think of a better candidate for 2024.

I think many would prefer it not be Trump, but someone "Trumpy" without being quite so virulently and obviously evil. Not because they really mind, but it's exhausting for them to daily rationalize his most repulsive and authoritarian impulses.

It's tough work to describe January 6 as both a "false flag operation" and just some patriots who got lost on a tour.
