@MarmeeMarch What rabid left? In any case yes, it would be a freedom that is opposite to Cruz's ultra nationalism and therefore a far better example. Whereas the the Nazi salute represents a more extreme form but still on the same side of the spectrum as Cruz's nationalism.

That's true but he was addressing a specific incident and the attorney General emphatically agreed with Ted's assertion that it was protected speech and therefore not actionable.
