Is it considered safe? I think not. Not by the rational anyways. The Chinese control the US economy. They have already won.
It's just Sabre rattling. Both sides have nuclear weapons. There will not be a shooting war between China and the U.S.
However, there may be an arms race, which is bad. Billions will be spent on weapons just to make arms merchants richer, instead of spending on human needs and fighting climate change.
