Rutgers Professor: “White People Are Committed to Being Villains – We Gotta Take These Motherf**kers Out”

Rutgers professor Dr. Brittney Cooper slammed white people as “villains” during an interview with The Root last month.

Cooper falsely claimed that black and brown people happily co-existed and sailed around the world until whites came along and destroyed the world with violence.

The racist professor said, “white people showed up being raggedy and violent and terrible and trying to take everything from everybody.”

“White people are committed to being villains,” Cooper said. “We gotta take these motherf**kers out, but like, we can’t say that, right?”

Racist much?

Brittney Cooper is an important thinker who deliberately expresses herself in over-the-top ways sometimes. Don't take out-of-context quotations as representative of her thought, or what she stands for.
@ServantOfTheGoddess When people tell you who they are, believe them. Cooper is clearly a racist.

@BohemianBabe Are you basing that on anything but these out-of-context quotations?
@ServantOfTheGoddess I read them in context and they still sound really racist.
If you can explain how, in context, they're not racist, I'm listening.

@BohemianBabe If you share the link with me I'll have a look / listen.

Yeah, you're prolly right.
When she said; “We gotta take these motherf**kers out..."
She prolly meant that in the good way!

@BohemianBabe That's a link to an article in a tabloid newspaper, with a brief video clip. For context we need to look at the entire talk.

Even the video clip shows that she didn't call White people individually, or all White people, "villains". She says "...White people are committed to being villains -- in the aggregate, you know." That is a small but significant difference.

Anyway this isn't context yet.

@ServantOfTheGoddess Seriously - doncha think that when she said; “We gotta take these motherf**kers out..." kinda says it all?

You keep diggin Servant - you find that context!

You could always send her an email and ask!

Saying that isn't racist is insane.

@Budwick thank you for an actually useful comment! I've sent her an email.

Update: she is on sabbatical so we can't count on a quick answer.
