VAX OR STARVE: German State Allows Grocery Stores to Ban Unvaccinated

In Hesse Germany all retailers including grocery stores can now decide whether they want to allow the unvaccinated in their stores.

Hesse includes Frankfurt, the second-largest metropolitan region in Germany.

So they’re going to kill people who won’t get the COVID vax?
How does this make sense?

OK, lefties - let's see you try to justify starving citizens!

It's not a bad policy, they are allowing the business to decide, not the state.

@FreeSpirit1 funny how quick they will cut that shit out when they aren’t getting business
SW-User
@FreeSpirit1 I still don't like it, but as usual certain nutjobs on this site are making completely unsubstantiated, hysterical claims.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@DeluxedEdition I'm not well informed on it. Are businesses requiring vaccines or just masks?
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@SW-User Well I don't live there but I like that the businesses get to decide. I'm sure they just want to sell groceries without a hassle.
SW-User
@FreeSpirit1 I suppose. And it's not as though no one can buy food anywhere if you're not vaccinated, as certain people on this post would dearly love to believe.
@DeluxedEdition
funny how quick they will cut that shit out when they aren’t getting business
Or, maybe, some businesses will find that offering a fully vaccinated shopping experience increases customer traffic. Either way, it's freedom & capitalism at work. And those two are concepts Budwick holds sacred. [Except when he doesn't.]

@ElwoodBlues I've essentially copied and pasted your comment to Budwick so he gets the idea.

@SW-User Thanks! AFAIK he hasn't blocked me, but maybe he ignores what I write because it interferes too much with his worldview.

@ElwoodBlues We both know that nothing makes @Budwick angrier than facts, or when he just can't selectively edit your comments to make it sound like he's won. He is the very definition of a Trumper. And, of course:

@FreeSpirit1 Companies in Germany are not allowed to require their employees to be vaccinated. What they can require is that they test themselves regularly, and most companies offer these tests to their employees free of charge.
@DeluxedEdition
we’re forced to open their doors back up for refusing
So are you agreeing with my argument that capitalism and freedom for business owners is a good thing? Or are you siding with Bullwick that business should not be permitted to make rules that might ostracize a minority?

@SW-User
He is the very definition of a Trumper.
It's true - Trump and his supporters have never - EVER tried starving citizens.
SW-User
@Budwick
Trump and his supporters have tried starving citizens.
Yes I know. But Germany hasn't, and isn't.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User No, of course not.
They're just refusing to sell food to certain people.
Completely different! [not]
SW-User
@Budwick No they're not, no supermarket or shop has said that.

Or how about, GET THE DAMN VACCINE!
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User
no supermarket or shop has said that.
Said what?
Or how about, GET THE DAMN VACCINE!
How about, my body, my choice?
@Budwick
How about, my body, my choice?
How about: choices have consequences?
How about: freedom has consequences?
How about: capitalism has consequences?

Your philosophy seems to be that everybody should have only the freedoms that Budwick finds convenient. That's ridiculously hypocritical in this case.

Update: I did make a point; I'm sorry that your self-righteousness blinds you to it.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues See if you can make a point from those.
SW-User
@Budwick
They're just refusing to sell food to certain people.
No supermarket or shop in Germany has said that.
How about, my body, my choice?
Do you believe in "My body, my choice"?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User
No supermarket or shop in Germany has said that.
But some are DOING that.
SW-User
@Budwick. No supermarket or shop has actually done this yet. This policy hasn't even come into effect.

Do you believe in My body, my choice?
@Budwick Which one are doing that?
