I watched the former minister Edwina Currie having to have it explained to her that 40% of claiments are already in employment.
And their own minister of state didn't seem to know if you take extra hours to make up the £20, your welfare will be cut for working too many hours.
Are the right wilfully ignorant or do they just hope most people don't care because it won't affect them?

@DarkMoon "Let them eat cake" is the attitude... most likely cake they nabbed at the food bank...

@DarkMoon They try and spin it by claiming welfare recipients are workshy when (as you say) many of them in this country are actually in low-paid work. It's their go-to frame of reference to call people scroungers but its not reality.
I think I saw the same thing, in which Gray Neville completely took her to task. He did very well.
