In person voting on Election Day only after producing a valid picture ID. If you can’t be there on Election Day, unless you’re in the military and deployed overseas, you don’t get to vote. Life is full of choices.

@redredred sounds heavy handed and not close to universal sufferage. Doesn't a country have to actually poll nearly the entire voting population to be legit?

On a good Election Day we get maybe fifty percent turnout so we’ve been getting by with far less than universal for centuries.@Stopmakingsense

Actually, Trump was for absentee ballots, because you have to ask for one. But now they just hand them out to everyone, so you might get them for people who used to live where you live. I got three, and my sister-in-law got two. And lord knows how many you could get out of all the dumpsters in town.
