How can racism be real if race is just a social construct?

And has been scientifically proven to not be connected to biology in any significant way?

Even though race doesn't exist biologically speaking, it still exists in people's mind.
They are different reasons why people may choose to hate someone who doesn't look like them. Negative stereotypes, bad experiences, societal views, envy, etc..
