Trump's always sayin' that Biden wants to abolish the suburbs and Biden doesn't wanna do that, but I kinda do

Suburbs are awful. They're nye unwalkable, they're not practical for public transportation, they waste a horrendous amount of space, and the zoning laws that allow them to propagate themselves drive housing prices way up in the cities. Basically, they're a cancer that's spread throughout the US and that's part of why this country is ripping at the seams.

Don’t live there. Ain’t freedom great

@MrBrownstone Zoning laws are restrictions on freedom. If we had real freedom, suburbs wouldn't exist, or at least not on a grand scale like they do now.

@BlueVeins Ready to give land back to Indians?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@MrBrownstone I don't reckon the US has ever held territory in India.

@BlueVeins Good thing I’m not talking about India
BlueVeins · 22-25
@MrBrownstone Then who are you talking about?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@BlueVeins the people who lived in America before Europeans arrived
BlueVeins · 22-25
@MrBrownstone What does that have to do with getting rid of Suburbia?

@BlueVeins Where did the land to build suburbs come from?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@MrBrownstone It came from magma pushing up into the Earth's crust, causing some of it to protrude far above the Earth's oceans and therefore creating mountains. Since mountains could only grow so tall though, these mounds of rock and minerals would push outwards over millions of years, creating the relatively flat regions of the Earth that we refer to as continents. Since continental crust was less dense than oceanic crust, continental crust would stay at a higher elevation for hundreds of millions of years before being subducted back into the mantle at plate boundaries. That's oversimplifying of course, but that's the basic reason why.

@BlueVeins So no one owns it. Thanks

@MrBrownstone Property is a strictly human concept that exists to encourage wealth creation and social order. And you know, also to control the lower class but that's somewhat secondary.

@BlueVeins Thanks for agreeing
