@Tres13 Ivermectin is showing promise in studies but it's still too early. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8248252/

I truly don't understand why someone would take a drug that hasn't been completely tested and has many side effects over the vaccine. If you're against one, you should be against the other.

@SW-User All available studies in meta-analyses right now indicate a moderate mitigation of covid-19 symptoms when used as a therapy. It's not in the same class as a vaccine, which prevents the disease altogether.

@Tres13 That HGH fiend took every treatment known to man, including monoclonal antibodies - and likely would have had a mild case anyway. Yet you’re trying to draw any real conclusions from that.

Leave this shit to people who do it for a living.

@Graylight Not to argue but the vaccine doesn't prevent it. The breakthrough cases have proved that. Fully vaccinated people are less likely to develop serious illness from the breakthrough cases.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@SW-User The CDC reported today that, based on current data, the unvaccinated are 11 times more likely to die of covid-19 than the vaccinated, which proves your point.

@SW-User Saying a vaccine doesn't work because there have been some related fatalities is like saying seat belts are useless because a guy died once.

There are currently 15,000 deaths in question regarding covid vaccination. Causation has not been proven and of those infections, most cases were 80 years old or better and had serious comorbidities.

We know the vaccine works because we have the numbers. We know the vaccine works like other vaccines because we have the history. And we know covid works because it's killed more than everyone in the first columns combined.

I never said that. You're putting words in my mouth in an attempt to create an argument with me when, in fact, we're generally in agreement.

It's not in the same class as a vaccine, which prevents the disease altogether.
This is what I was referring to when I commented. The Covid vaccine currently does not "prevent the disease altogether."
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SW-User You're right; my assumption. However, no vaccine is 100% effective and the covid-19 vaccines are as effective as they would be expected to be against the virus they target. The point I was making is that to point out the relatively minor faults of something is poor evidence that that thing is deficient.
SW-User
@Graylight Yes, I know all that. I don't understand why you feel you must direct this at me based upon my comments here. 🤷‍♀️ I never stated the vaccine is deficient. I really think you need to re-read my few comments Graylight. You keep attributing commentary to me that doesn't exist. I don't understand why you appear to be trying to create an argument.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SW-User No argument. Additional information and nowhere to add it but here. Consider me chided.
