The latest book by J. Karl doesn't seem to paint either DJT or the GOP in a better light. I think the latter should have not shown their cards when the former threatened to leave. Excise the cancer and move on.
It would have given the Republicans in Congress and across the country a simple and clean way to get back to being people who wanted to solve our problems by other than armed insurrection and the installation of a totalitarian ruler.

The Republican Party will have a real challenge in becoming an opposition that can be trusted. Even though Biden is going through a difficult time with the “sausage making” of legislation; he is doing the right thing and history will treat his name well.

@SomeMichGuy Not armed and not an insurrection. Most protesters were let in by police. They mostly wandered around peacefully. Anyone being violent or destructive should be charged. Same goes for blm and antifa looters, burners and killers. Marxist leftists like you give them a pass. Any rational, equitable American does not.

Wrong and obvious. There were organized guys in riot gear with wrist zipties... It was all over and it was obvious.
It was a violent attack on the US Capitol with the intent of forcing the lawmakers to not do their Constitutional duty.
This was an attempt to install Trump via a citizens' coup.
That's an insurrection.
No. They broke through fencing and then broke windows and doors, wounding Capitol police who were tasked with protecting the building & its lawful population.
They tried to find lawmakers.
They broke into offices and stole documents which constitute a security risk.
They destroyed property we all own.
They illegally entered the building.
A few seconds of less violence does NOT forgive the violent storming of the Capitol.
They will be, many have been/are being held.
The video and live testimony of the attacked, and the ppl killed by your brethren all bear testimony to the fact that you are an old bitter fool.

It isn't "my" narrative, it happened in front of...well, the world, and then we later saw body cam & other footage which confirmed the horror of that day, except for a few seconds of people--who had unlawfully broken into our national property--walking where they were, at that time, unlawfully walking as treasonous traitors to the Constitution.
