Are mandatory vaccinations now a real possibility ?

Italy’s prime minister has announced his government could make Covid-19 vaccines mandatory.

Mario Draghi said all Italians of eligible age could soon be obliged to get a shot, as soon as the European Medicines Agency (EMA) gives its conditional approval for four vaccines.

Currently, in Italy, the vaccine is mandatory only for medical workers. The country was the first to introduce compulsory vaccinations for doctors, followed by France.

At the moment, only Indonesia, the federated states of Micronesia and Turkmenistan have introduced compulsory vaccinations for all.

Wonder what folks here will say if the infection rate drops dramatically in those places— will we explain it away somehow ? 🤔

@bijouxbroussard They'll probably say 'it just went away' .... like Donald told 'em it would.

Seriously , I would support the measure. I've had enough of pandering to these conspiracy theory nutcases putting everybody at risk.
@RodionRomanovitch I would support it too. Of course, with the Texas attack on girls’ and women’s reproductive rights, some morons are trying to make comparisons that don’t fit—when’s the last time pregnancy was contagious ? 😳
