Should Trumpism be treated like a disease?

This guy's lawyer says his client's parole violation (streaming Mike Lindell on the Internet) is akin to a drug addict having a relapse and that he shouldn't be reincarcerated because of it.

Honestly, this one really bothers me. I've always been trouble with addiction as a disease, Trumpism, aside, for one thing.

Then there's the fact that not accessing the internet was a parole condition. Is this akin to pedophiles not hanging around schools?

Is it different if he was watching it without the ability to share it, say on Newsmax?

Creative, but no.
@Northwest That's really what I was thinking. I know why the attorney went there, but it sort of points out the problem with all of this, and really points out the problem with the parole thing.

Its one thing for him not to post on the internet, I guess, but its a whole different thing to prohibit him from watching it, or, say Fox News or Newsmax.

@MistyCee Child molesters are prohibited from viewing porn.
@Northwest Yup, and I guess that would make more sense if he was convicted and released on parole. But this guy hasn't been tried yet.

An accused Capitol rioter broke the conditions of his pretrial release
@Northwest I know, but something still seems wrong here.

If Lindell and Trump are pushing drugs, why are we just punishing users?
