If USA is world police because it is the richest world country, why is it the world's richest while many other large countries have natural resources

I guess from a geographical standpoint, the US is also separated from most of the world, so they're "independent" in a way (though with globalization, that's no longer a real word).

Germany tried that a few times, didn't go well. But who said the US is the world police anyway?
