Do you think it's fair that in Australia if you have over 5 acres of land that you don't qualify for a pension?

So if I get this right, should you work harder than others, sacrifice living at a lower quality of life so that you could have more later in life so you can have 5 acres when you retire then you are punished by the government. If you did not have a choice to pay into the pension over the years they should not have a choice about paying it out.
