Do you think it's fair that in Australia if you have over 5 acres of land that you don't qualify for a pension?

NO!!! It sounds like the equivalent of the Windfall Provision act in the USA.

The above is why I, a retired teacher, live in one small rented room and share a bathroom with two men and a kitchen with five other people.
